For those of you who does not know what Dubai is. It is a city and an emirate in the Middle East and more precisely in the United Arab Emirates. It is situated on the southern rim of Persian gulf opposite to Iran. Here is a more precise location of Dubai.

So what is so special about this city that it is worth writing about it? Well, the mystery is quite simple… I have lived in Dubai for many years and visited all its museums and learned some of its history, and  the amazing thing is that roughly 40 to 50 years ago, before the petrol was discovered in that region, with some exceptions there was no city and almost no civilization in the location occupied by Dubai in the present.

So Dubai developed into the dream city it is now in 50 years. I think this is quite an achievement for a city that hosts the tallest building in the world.
